As a Seminarian

 

  • He  should daily live a life conscious of his Christian calling discipline in prayer, Bible reading, and study of the Scripture.

  • He shall consistently manifest the fruit of the Holy Spirit in all his action, whether in being alone or in the presence of others.

  • He should persistently work in the service of the church, showing a good example to fellow-believers as a future church worker or leader and a model of proper church involvement.

  • He should be conscious of his body as “the temple of the Holy Spirit”, thereby, careful of his lifestyle by observing proper eating habits, good exercise regimen, and with enough rest and sleep.

  • He should always attend the daily dawn prayer and bible reading time, which would require strict observance of the nightly sleeping time to be able to wake up early.

 

 

As a Student

 

  • He should conscientiously pursue good academic performance in all subjects by attending to all his daily classes and complying with the requirements in all his subjects.

  • He should maintain good study habits maximizing his study and library time.

  • He should strive to learn and speak good English by using the language within the seminary premises – in the class room and in the dormitory.

  • He should show utmost respect to seminary administrators and personnel, his co-seminarians, church members and guest, visitors of the seminary and the church.

  • He should give proper regard and deference of authorities, keeping tight control of his reaction and sentiments and expressing them in proper venues to the appropriate persons concerned.

  • He should manifest Christian stewardship by helping in the maintenance of the equipment and facilities of the school and in the conservation of electric and water resources.

  • He should be able to show consistent improvement in both his aptitude and attitude. 

  • He should absolutely refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, and taking any illegal drug.

 

 

As A Dormitory Resident

 

  • He should respect his dorm mates, their individual differences, personal properties, time, and unique needs.

  • He should cooperatively work together with his dorm mate, attending to their daily work assignments and the maintenance of their assigned quarters.

  • He should show Christian values in his behaviour inclusive of language, response or reaction, daily attire or clothing, eating, jokes and way of life.

  • He should generously but conscientiously share his resources with those in need, conscious of not promoting dependency among his dorm mates.

 

General conduct: since students are adults and are called by God for his service, it is expected that their conduct will be particularly exemplary at all times. If the student’s conduct on,

 

  • or off campus is found to be inconsistent with his Christian duty and calling, the administration reserves the right to reprimand, suspend or expel him from the Mission Institute.

  • Guidance and counselling: each student may request counselling concerning his academic program. The faculty members and administrative staff are also willing and available to give the students personal, ministry or spiritual counselling, as may be though appropriate.

  • Using the seminary facilities: property, facilities, equipment or materials must be given proper care, unauthorized use of the seminary property is strictly restricted.

  • Using musical instrument should be in schedule of practice and worship service or as per authorized or permitted.

  • Every student has the responsibility in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the seminary specially kitchen area and comfort room.

  • Every student has a working assignment.

 

 

LIBRARY RULES

 

  • Silence is a must in the library, study area and keep voice low.

  • Return the book on proper shelf or place where you got it or if you forgot where to return it just leave properly at the study table.

  • Borrowing books is allowed only for 3 days and can be re- borrow in the presence of the personnel in duty.

  • Lost of book must be paid in full or in terms.

  • Fans and lights should be turned off when not in use.

  • Eating and drinking inside study rooms and the library is not allowed.

  • Respect the personnel in duty.

 

 

SCHEDULES

 

The school year is divided into trimester approximately 12 weeks (from Monday to Friday). One week in each trimester is devoted to review and examination. A full time student carries a load of 15 units per trimester (4 subject and field ministry).  It requires a minimum of three (3) full years to complete a 135 unit Course Program including the field ministry for Bachelor of Theology (B.TH). A load of 15 units (4 subject and field ministry) per trimester requires (2) full years to complete 90 units including the field ministry for Certificate of Special Studies.
